The Symposium for Undergraduate Research Exploration in the College of Natural Sciences (SURE in CNS) at UT Austin invites students from other campuses to share research here and learn about our graduate program offerings. The 2021 symposium will focus on research in the life sciences and chemistry. Participating programs include: Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Evolution & Behavior, Human Development & Family Sciences, Marine Science, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Nutritional Sciences and Plant Biology.
Participants visit the University of Texas at Austin campus October 17-18 and:
- Receive travel support, food, and lodging.
- Present research (oral presentations and/or posters) to fellow undergraduate researchers, College of Natural Sciences faculty members, and graduate students while competing for awards;
- Tour the workspaces of top ecologists, microbiologists, biochemists, plant biologists, and molecular biologists;
- Meet CNS faculty and current graduate students;
- Have opportunities to learn about graduate school application processes, comprehensive financial support for College of Natural Sciences graduate students, and professional development and career services for PhD trainees;
- Experience the excitement of Austin, Texas, enjoying city tours and more
