The University designates outstanding students as Distinguished College Scholars and College Scholars, on the basis of registration and grade point average requirements for courses taken in residence at the University. College Scholars have demonstrated themselves as superior academically.

The College of Natural Sciences is proud of the accomplishments of our college scholars.

Eligible students have been notified by President Hartzell.

To be designated a College Scholar, a student must meet the criteria outlined on the University Website.

Additionally, for the 2020-2021 year, CNS students with senior status must have a GPA of 3.8974 for College Honors and a GPA of 4.0000 for Distinguished Honors. CNS students with junior status must have a GPA of 3.9356 for College Honors and a GPA of 4.0000 for Distinguished College Honors. Students must also meet all other requirements as outlined above.

If you believe you are eligible based on the criteria on the Honors Day website, but did not receive congratulatory communication, please contact your academic advisor to ask about your status.
